You Asked, We Answered: 5 Score-Boosting GRE Tips

In this third and final installment of our free “GRE Mastery” video series, I’m giving you exactly what you asked for.

Literally.

In Part 1 of the series, we looked at the GRE Success Triad and got very detailed in dissecting GRE motion problems, giving you methodologies and shortcuts for solving this important GRE question type.

Then in Part 2 we went even deeper and explored the top four (4) GRE math strategies that will help you get more right answers more efficiently on test day.

But as useful and practical as these first two videos were, you still wanted more. You had questions. There were other topics you still wanted me to cover.

So that’s exactly what I did in this video, Part 3, which you can watch in its entirety here:

Specifically, this video addresses the following GRE topics:

  1. [5:18] GRE time management, including how to navigate the exam if English isn’t your first language as well as four GRE time management strategies that will be helpful for all test takers;
  2. [21:48] How to practice effectively, and specifically how to ensure that you perform at least as well (or better!) on the real GRE as you do on your practice tests;
  3. [31:06] GRE verbal strategy, including a useful technique for getting right answers on GRE Sentence Equivalence questions even when you don’t know what some of the words mean;
  4. [43:08] The GRE essays, and specifically the #1 biggest mistake students make on the Analysis of an Argument Essay and how to avoid it;
  5. [52:40] How to prioritize your time and which content areas to focus on when studying for the GRE.

This is a longer video — the longest in the series — so feel free to jump around to the questions that most interest you. But it’s all useful and relevant information that can help you get over the hump and take your GRE score to the next level, so be sure to take notes and internalize it all. Enjoy!
